  1. If you choose to provide heat with a lamp then the infrared would be the better choice. It is certainly easier on their eyes which lack the protective melanin of the normal coloured corns. You might find it easier overall to provide heat with an undertank heater though. It is less hassle and danger then a light and uses less wattage.


  2. for cornsnakes the best heat source for them is an under tank heater put on one side of the vivarium.  ask the people at the pet store what the right size is for the tank
