I have a son w/ a crazy *****, how screwed am I?

Question

How much child support should I expect to be taken from my paychecks? I know it depends on my income and hers, but in general? What if I'm making $100,000 and she's making $40,000? What if I get married and have several kids of my own? What about my wife's income?

I'm a good responsible Dad, I just worry about how I'm going to support my future family. I want to continue to see and support my son, but how much of a free ride will his mom get from me?

I think it depends on the settlement and how much you make. It does ot depend on what she makes. Free ride my but kids are expensive. have you seen the price of kids clothes food child care doctors toys gas shoes??? I would not run out and have 13 more kids if i were you. but you should be fine.  were you married or living togeher? that makes a differece in what her side will ask for.

Depends on kids age you probably have to pay somewhere from $500 to $900. You should fight for custody unless your son doesn't want to live with you.
