  1. Your son seems to be dyslexic.

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that manifests primarily as a difficulty with written language, particularly with reading and spelling. It is separate and distinct from reading difficulties resulting from other causes, such as deficiencies in intelligence, a non-neurological deficiency with vision or hearing, or from poor or inadequate reading instruction

Evidence suggests that dyslexia results from differences in how the brain processes written and/or verbal language. Although dyslexia is the result of a neurological difference, it is not an intellectual disability. Dyslexia occurs at all levels of intelligence, average, above average, and highly gifted.

    Suggestion:

Consult a psychologist and also a psychiatrist

  2. please try 24into7guru.com its very helpful

  3. he needs practice!ufor his practice u go 2 'yahoo kids' in the 'search' type the subject u wanna him 2 practice n then u'll find many many sites where u can make him practice! gud luck!

  4. Well being a student I can understand your  problem....... U should first of all not opt for any tutions or thereapists......U should firstly ask your own childs desires and his capabilities ............I know he definately has some hidden talent......because always learning and scoring is not necessary.

I think opting for sites would be a waste....but if u wish then u can.

  5. I don't know about a website, but I used to tutor a 13 year old who couldn't read.  I found books that he was interested in (Egypt, and space).  And be completely laid back.  "Ok, take your time.  See, you didn't need me to tell you!"  Let him go slow.  Praise him for everything.

The 13 year old was smart (and I'll guess its the same with your son), so the biggest difference was with his school homework.  I talked to his teacher, and she agreed to this.  I read him his work out loud.  And then I wrote in his answers word for word.  I helped him understand what he didn't understand (from being unable to read anything), and the extra time and patience paid off.

Get as many books on tape for him as you can, he picks them out.  Practise with him, with LOTS of patience.  If is takes an hour to write a scentance, thats ok, it'll get faster with confidence.

  6. umm your son has got what they call Dyslexia today. Its not that he is not intelligent, just the opposite.... his mind races faster than his hand!!!  so he is slow to put on paper  what he knows....cause his thoughts have already reached ahead. Is this right???

In india we got schools now for just such students, in Delhi and Mumbai. First please see that you are not pushing him into a educational stream that he is not interested in. Ask him where is interest lies and then see how he shines :)

    Best of luck to you....

  7. First of all don't use any of the Therapists the school recommends you, go find one yourself, I know this because my mom did this when diagnosing that I had ADD. Go apply for a school that offers special education(special ed.), because if he has some sort of  issue with learn he will be the slowest in regular classes.

  8. Google aspergers and see if you can find anything there.

  9. you may teach him with love and with time

  10. first the doctors or advisers should be consulted .they will guide you properly
