I have a sony camera but dont have a connecter can i use a kodak usb cord?

This depends on the type of camera that you have. Some sony cameras have prepriatary connectors that only can be purchased for sony cameras. Others however have the universal usb mini a connectors. These cables are all interchangeable and should work fine with other prodcuts. But your question cannot be answered without knowing the model number of the sony and the kodak cameras to know if it will work.

It is unlikely to do that.  All companies make different cords because they think they're cool.  You can't charge your Sony phone with a Nokia charger.
