I have a sony handycam dcr-hc28, how do i get my video on my computer?

i have a firewire cable and port on my laptop. i have plugged in my camera and i want to get the videos that i have filmed on my camera unto my laptop and i cant seen to figure out how to do that. also i would like to use windows movie maker for my videos and ive tried to click on import video, but i cant get the videos off my camera to show up. any suggestions??

with the camcoder's DV port connected to the computer's firewire port using a firewire (not USB) cable, and the camcorder in "Play" mode, launch MovieMaker and "Capture" the video from the camcorder.
