I have a sony handycam hdr-hs5e and the cassette compartment is jammed open,?

please help, i've tried to push even though it says not to and taking the battery off and power cable too.

sorry to hear that!

did you try to gently wiggle it side to side too (front to back of the camera)?  I did that once and it worked.

when the mechanism that controls the cassette loading door to fail, the only way that I know to fix it is to replace the whole tape deck side of the camera, as these things are usually replaced as a unit.

It should be taken to a Sony service center, sorry for having to pass you the bad news!
