Question:

I have a sore calf muscle

I think I know what the problem is, but I want to be sure. The other day I cut my heel on a sharp rock and I can't put my full weight down on it. I spent most the day trying to keep weight off my heel and the next day my calf muscle was sore. Is there a connection or is there another reason for my sore calf?

  1. There are nerve and muscle connections. Take some moist heat, like take a towel, soak it with hot water, ring it out then wrap it around your calf. Do this several times until the skin begins to turn slightly red. Then massage that calf with some Aspercreme Cream, rest it as much as you can and take a Motrin about 600 Mg's. Do the moist heat procedure, two to three times a day. For the heel, you might want to soak it in some hot water with Epsom Salt added, follow the directions on the bag. The cut should be healed over by now if it happened the other day. The Epsom Salt soak will help with that heel pain. Best of luck to you sir.
