I have a sore throat, the weird thing is i don't even feel sick, i get headaches often but other then that, i feel fine. i guess i don't think i need a med that treats a common cold/flu...

anyways, i was wondering what kinds of medicines people use to relieve sore throats, i'm having a hard time going to sleep and eating because of the pain, even home remedies of what to eat/drink is great!

thanks!

  1. Try a couple herbal teas. Something with lemon should be good. They also sell herbal throat coat teas that are packed with herbs specifically for throat pain and soreness.

  2. gargle in hot salt water

  3. here are a few pages with some remedies hope one or two work for you.

  4. Gargling with warm salt water is the BEST.  Do it every few hours.  You may have post-nasal drip, which is irritating your throat.  Steam your face (add lavender and tea tree oil if you have it, a dab of Vicks) to get the mucous running and out of your body.
