  1. Well don't feel too secure for about 5-7 years.  It can, and many times does, take that long for the computer systems to catch up, at least here in California.  I have had probably, four or five tickets, that I had long forgotten, rear there ugly heads, after about 5 years of having so called "disappeared".  A friend of mine, last week,  just got a court date in the mail, for a ticket he received in 1999! Come to find out, his license had been suspended for the last four years, because of this ticket, that he never taken care of, and he had no knowledge of any of this until last week.  That is 9 years later! So either take care of it now, or just prepare yourself for the consequences later on down the road. If the ticket warrants a fine, you better believe they won't forget about it.  Money Money Money....Is what it is to them, and the longer they leave it dormant, the more than can charge you for late fees, and the harder it will be on you, to take care of it.

  2. Actually, I disagree with the other answer because I have had a ticket never get "registered" and so has my husband.  The answer is sloppy paper work, and a lack of desire to do it.  The same reason many times if you contest a ticket and go to court the cops don't show up.  I am not being critical of them, they are cops not secretary's and that paper work shouldn't be on their shoulders.

It sounds like you have done what you can....keep a record of the phone calls you have made...and keep your fingers crossed...oh and STOP SPEEDING!!!

  3. take the ticket to the police station that's listed on the ticket and they will definitely pull your jacket up., as whoever wrote it got to account for it and they ain't just gone let you get away like dat unless somebody out there writing illegal tickets now that's a whole nother story. trust me..you in tha system.
