Like i said i suffered a right sprained MCL in my knee this week at football practice. Our first game is in 13 days and its my senior year. i am able to walk decent now i just have trouble putting much weight or pressure on it. It is swollen around the kneecap and ive been icing it and taking ibuprophen to keep it down. I cant bend it back far enough to even grab my shin its just too unbearable and swollen. I can't even get in a decent 3 point stance right now. Does anybody know about how long it will take until i could play again, im hoping i can play the first game but i dont know how safe it will be or i might have to get a cortisone shot...

can somebody PLEASE just give me a little bit of help or advice, this is really stressing me out thinking that i might miss out on my senior football season... :(

  1. Welllll.... you could let your wonderful girlfriend take care of you :]

  2. if you work at it you won't likely miss the whole season. I highly doubt that you will be able to play opening game though, especially in the condition you are now. Continue ice and medication and try slowing to bare more weight and work at it. Don't do too much too fast.

You should be ok in 2-3 weeks
