I did it on thursday (4days ago) through a diving board mis-hap, and its painful when i walk so i just kind of limp. It hurts when i put pressure on it but i still put pressure on it because the doc said i should. How long will it take before the swelling and bruising goes away, and how long will it take before i can walk without the stupid limp? Thanks in advance

P.s, I got it xrayed, its just sprained, and ive tore the tendons and ligaments in my foot if this is any help. x

  1. ehh about 2 weeks or so i would say thats how much for my friends when they got it sprained bad

  2. Go to a drug-store or Walmart and but a supportive ankle brace, and try to do what you doctor said.

  3. The longer you limp on it, the longer it will take to heal. If you continue walking on it like this, your ankle should take 3 to 5 weeks to heal and your foot should take a few months. I can't believe the doctors allow you to walk on it if you rtore the tendons and ligaments. If you stay off the foot, you could be healed up in a month or two.
