I was thinking of using a wrist band and covering it but that did not work so well, i was also considering athletic tape but i have none and there are no stores that sell any.

  1. i suggest that you dont play because it will only make it worse. stop volleyball for a while untill everything is heeled. if you play in the game, your recovery time will be much longer.

    take advile in the meantime

  2. my sugestion to you would be to go to the drug store and get an anesthetic

  3. ice it for 20 min. then later go to hot...take pain killers and repeat ice!

  4. I would recommend you get an ace bandage, which is sold at a target, walmart, or any drugstore. Wrap it firmly, and try not using your wrist that much. I would also possibly get a wrist brace for right before your game, and right after, this will help you keep it firm. This may be a slightly long-term injury, so the wrist brace will help so you don't have to wear an ace bandage everywhere. For the night, and after your game, ice your wrist and then use a heating method to soothe your muscles in your arm/wrist.

  5. not worth one game to risk the rest of the potential games in your life- sit out- heal

  6. go to local drugstores like walgreens or cvs or one of those drugstores! get one that feels comfortable on you and i broke my wrist and 3 days after i got my cast off i had to go to volleyball camp so i wor a brace that had a piece of metal that kept the wrist firm! :*D

  7. honestly i dont really know but ive known people on my team who wear a certain kind of brace on their wrist that allows them to play without pain. but about the lower waist....i dont have a clue. sorry=(

  8. Basically wrap your arm tightly in a bandage. Basically this should restrict the movement of your hand and prevent both pain and injury.

Icing the injury can help as well.

Play only if it is not hurting you, often playing with an injury can cause more problems.

But it sounds like this is long term problem. What you should do is built up your wrist and arm strenght. Basically buy those hand squeeze things, do some wrist curl exercise to increase the muscle strenght there and you will have fewer long term problems with your wrist.
