I have a staff that is pregnant and i think it was a false alarm.?

I have a staff that is 59 days pregnant today and she started messing up her blankets and i thought maybe she was ready to go. but she ate this morning does that me she still could still go into labor? Does anyone know from the time she started messing her blankets up till the actual labor?i'm concern because she has discharge when she pess but no shiffering or panting.

  1. Take her temperature (rectally, carefully.)  It will drop below 100 degrees Fahrenheit when she is within 24 hours of whelping.  Appetite is not always a reliable indicator.


  2. It's only day 59. She might mess with her blankets for days. Some of them will eat right up til the time they start whelping their litter. Take her temperature and if it drops down around 99 and less, then she is getting closer. Take her to the vet and have him check her out.
