I have a summer reading list for high school and i have to read just two books but how can i take great notes?

and what do we have to do on the first day of school after reading two books..would it be an essay? or a test? please help im so confused i have one week before school starts and i go to Syosset high school just to make everythning easier for you to answer...... PLEASE ANSWER!!!!

  1. If it's two, it'll probably just be an essay and a couple quizzes. It depends on the teacher. But I wouldn't go so far as to take notes. Just review things like the plot, characters, and setting.
