I have a super pop-up I can't get rid of?

I don't even know if it is a pop-up. It's an ad for Staffing Solutions (emplsolutions.com) that will desend from the top of my screen and hover there. My cursor kind of locks in on top of it and I can't delete it at all sometimes. ANd even when I do delete it the ad will just go back and forth over the page for about a half minute. Any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

I, too, have been infected with this virus.  I've looked into the script and determined that it contacts the emplsolutions.com site.  You can add an entry in your hosts file, which is located on your C: drive at:

    c:\windows\Systems32\drivers\etc\hosts

If you add an entry "127.0.0.1 emplsolutions.com" (without the quotes), whenever the virus tries to contact emplsolutions, it will talk to your own machine.  After you make the change, you can confirm that it works by the command "ping emplsolutions.com", which should ping the 127 address.  

This is a really bad hack which has messed up my Internet Explorer and iTunes.  It appears not to affect Firefox, so I suggest that you use Firefox until the virus checkers catch up with this one.

Look for an X to close the window just like the top right.
