I have a surround sound receiver(5.1+subwoofer), but no speakers. Where or how can I buy JUST SPEAKERS?

I'm not sure what the connection between the speakers and receiver is called, but it looks like two small wires inserted into two small box-like outlets that you clip down to hold in the wire... anyway, I only need 5 speakers (left, right, surround left, surround right, and center) and a subwoofer. Where online or what store would have this?

i got my speakers from "American" its a big store, and they have really good speaker ie, Klipsch, Sony, Polk Audio, Energy, Bose, JBL, and others i cant remember. my energy tower speakers cost 300 each, and the center polk audio was 200 i believe. they crank out some serious sound, and at high volumes.. get the best you can afford, and remember, dont just go to one store, look around, and listen to as much stuff as you can.

for the weight better try a local store, look in circuit city or best buy and you have to decide what type of speakers bookshelf, floor, in-wall, ect...

Circuit city and Best Buy do sell just the speakers. Ask the sales guys.

The terminals in the back of your receiver are called push connectors, if you care.

By the way , the .1 in 5.1 is the designation for the subwoofer so you don't actually have to say 5.1 + sub. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just thought you might want to know.

I don't know where you live, so I can't give you a store to check out, but I know your frustration, I was looking for bookshelf speakers and had to settle for sight unheard, I went with outdoorspeaker depot's IW60 PR Performance In Wall Speakers.  They are good wall speakers and cheap $89.50 for the pair.  They have all types of speakers are very descent prices
