I have a tan/khaki couch that reads a bit red in certain lights. Wondering what colors will downplay red tone

I want to paint and add accent pillows that downplay the red, not emphasize it. Wondering if using green paint will bring out the green in khaki or actually highlight the red tint that is already coming out?
