  1. No worries, they'll take you.

  2. im in the army.idk what the marines are like.but i know we cant have any above the wrist.pretty much not on ur hand or above ur neck.and where your uniform can cover it up.

  3. The tattoo policy is pretty strict these days. Anything that can be seen when you're in PT gear (standard shorts and t-shirt) could prevent you from enlisting. It sounds as if the tattoo is very small, so it probably won't be too much of a problem, but they will have to take pictures of it and send it to higher command for a decision to be made.

  4. as long as the tatoo isnt obsene and huge, it should be ok. talk to a recruiter if ur not positive

  5. only if you get it removed.  wrist, hand, neck and face tattoos are a PDQ with no waivers allowed.

  6. I'm a Navy recruiter, and as far as the Navy goes, that wouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty sure their standards are about the same, I think you should be alright.

  7. My husband just finished 3 years of recruiting for the Marines in April. During that time they changed the rule so that you couldn't enlist if you had tattoos on your arms. Not sure what the other restrictions are on tattoos, but I know the arms for sure. But, my husband was able to get a kid a waiver for a tattoo that he had on his forearm. Talk to your recruiter and see if he can get a waiver if that prevents you from joining. I'm not sure of all the details, but I'm thinking maybe that kid was in the process of enlisting when they changed that rule, but it's still worth a try for you to talk to a recruiter and see if he can try to get a waiver for you. Good luck.
