  1. For a job as a teacher or in education, perhaps they would ask questions such as "what are your strengths and weaknesses?" (which is a trick question and never say any 'negative' about yourself such as that you're a procrastinator), "why should we hire you?", "how do you feel about working with children?", "tell me about yourself" (they usually want to know job or academic/school-wise and not that you moved to such and such city at 9 and went to many different schools and such ;) "where do you see yourself in five years?", "what kind of student are you?", "what are the different learning styles that students may have?"

They are Not allowed to ask if you have any type of disability so says the Americans With Disabilities Act (1990) but can ask you if you need any 'reasonable accommodations' such as writing down verbal directions or such due to a limitation such as a learning disability.  I just wanted to mention that so that perhaps you can be more armed so-to-speak with more knowledge and perhaps not feel so overwhelmed.  And if you have a resume, I would bring one with you as it may look more organized and they may have misplaced it and be grateful that you did bring one :)  Just be yourself, and perhaps think of each interview as a learning experience and as a tool for practicing for other interviews and other jobs.  Good luck!

  2. what ever you do, don't tell them you fancy kids.

  3. These are some questions they may ask - Tell me about yourself - They want to know what kind of worker you are if you are dependable.. be direct and short, do not say umm - uhhh things like that.  They will ask you to tell them when you had to go above and beyone the call of duty - meaning you did something eihter at school for someone you really did not have to or stayed at work and not get paid for it. again be short and direct. Sit up straight, dont fiddle with your hair ,nails ect. Be sure you introduce yourself when you walk in the room, and thank them when you leave.  Also Tommrow send the Interviewer a thank you card.

  4. they don't want: I AM SO GREAT AT THIS, THIS, and THIS! be natural and witty. That's what they are probably looking for.

  5. Congratulations on your interview.  Be confident but not boastful.  They will want to know the softer and smarter side of you so show it.  Often times they ask scenario questions so prepare yourself(like what would you do if two students are debating over a controversial issue) or for preschoolers (what do you do about a child who has an irate parent.)  And they almost always ask why you want to be a teacher-something sentimental but not too deep.

    God bless with everythng

Let me know how it goes.  I've been teaching for 6years and would do it for the rest of my life.
