  1. you should eat right from now on and go joggind drink lots of water and time yourself every day when you go jogging and if you dont know were to go jogging a mall is fine to or even a park . idk how much to jog but maybe you should go joging several times a day because i dont think you might wanna jog 10 miles a day all at once but as you get closer to the dead line you should be going for 10 miles GOOD LUCK!

  2. Prepare by walking/running as much as possible before hand.  Once a day walk or run starting at a reasonable distance, slowly increase the distance (if you're walking through a neighborhood try going an extra driveway or two each day).  The big thing here is walking (or running) as far as you can each day (remember you have to make it back to your house!)  You are trying to build endurance, and the more you do aerobic exercise (cardio workouts) the more efficient your body will be at processing oxygen.  If you have a pool, swimming is great for building endurance.  Bike riding is another acceptable substitute.  Pacing yourself is also very important as well as knowing your limits and knowing when you can push yourself even further.  Good luck!

  3. stair climber. You should worry about blisters on your feet. Wear thick socks with a pair of liner socks. Bring moleskin.

  4. you better start walking

  5. I did a half marathon out of shape.  You can do it, just know you might be a little sore afterwards.

You need to go ahead and do a practice walk now, then walk two miles every other day the last week.  Warm up and stretch before each exercise period.  Stretch, then ice after work outs.  Rest three days before (just stretching and eating healthy).  You'll do fine.  Music helps.  If earphones aren't allowed at the actual 10 miler, find someone interesting to walk with and strike up a conversation.  It'll be over in no time.

  6. 2 weeks= not enough time

    10 miles= not very long

  7. I am sorry to read that, make sure you have good shoes and practice walking, a couple laps around the block everyday.

  8. Ten miles may be easier than you think.  Especially if you are walking...unless you are totally out of shape.  Just eat a high protien meal before hand and drink plenty of water.  You should be fine.

  9. It might be better to have started training a month ago...

First day see how far you can walk without getting tired. you might arrange for someone to give you a ride home.  Then see if you are tired or sore the next day. If you can only walk a few blocks then maybe there is not enough time to get into shape.  If you can walk a couple of miles and are not too sore the next day then it might be worth trying.

Carry some water and try to walk a little further each day.. When you know how far you can walk try to make a round trip.  Maybe there is a track or a mall where you can practice.  Good luck..once you get in shape keep exercising to stay in shape!

  10. Ride Bike, play tennis(my fav), or just walk around
