  1. Really....Thats normal

Take her to a cafeteria, and don't say anything and see what happends.....you could be wrong.

  2. I use the rule that you have to take 1 tiny bite at least, because you never know when you might be grown up enough to like it. Tastes change as you get older and it's really true that kids will try- and like- more foods as they get older. My now 12 yr old grandson tries new foods all on his own now, whereas he NEVER did a couple years ago! He's very proud of himself when he tries something that he wouldn't eat before- and he usually likes it! Anyway, it's totally normal and as long as she's eating a few varieties of fruits and veggies and a little protein of some sort- even if it's peanut butter! and drinking some milk, she's all right. Talk to her pediatrician if you have any more worries. Good luck- and remember, these are the EASY problems!

  3. When I introduce something new, I give a very small amount and have my kids take a 'no, thank you' bite. It might sound corny, but it works for my 2 nine year olds.

  4. Don't worry! They all go through faddy phases. Mine refused to drink anything but pop for a couple of years, but now only drinks juice, I went through a stage of only eating cucumber sandwiches! Go into the garden and plant some food with her - get her mates to join you. Fear not, when she goes to high school she'll be trying tons of foods!

Alternatively, if she is into music/actors - try tempting her with her favourite star's recommended recipes! Also, try getting her to cook with you!

  5. sneak the food she doesn't lik into the food she does like!!!

  6. try to slowly introduce new foods. if she says she doesn't want it, tell her she only has to take one bite, not finish the whole thing. if she refuses, tell her there is no dessert. it may sound mean, but it really works. the worst you can do is tell her she doesn't have to eat it at all or force feeding her.

  7. Buy her a kids cookbook!! She's at the age where she should begin experimenting with what she does and doesn't like to eat.. and this would be a great way to let her creativity flow. She can have the creative power to make and enjoy whatever she wants :)
