Pretend I am serving in a game of Tennis. My first serve hits the net, BUT goes to the opponents side. Is that a fault? Or just doesn't count?

  1. It doesn't count.  Re-serve.

  2. No that is not a fault. It is called a "let". That means u can serve again.

  3. It is called a "let". This means that it is not a fault, but it does not count either. You get to reserve. You still have 2 serves left.

  4. it doesnt count hunnie :]

    but dont think negative.

i kno u can make it over ;]

  5. It's not a fault. But the serve is replayed.

  6. On the serve it's just a re-serve.

  7. It's not a fault but you have a another 1st serve.

  8. well you have to serve again

  9. it depends on where it lands on the opponent's side.

    (a) first serve hits (or even only touch) the net, lands inside the opposite service box = let (you have two serves)

    (b) first serve hits (or even only touch) the net, lands outside the opposite service box = fault (you have one serve remaining)

if case (b) happens for the second serve it means double fault and results in one point for your opponent.

  10. If you serve and the ball hits the net tape and falls into the correct service box, then it is called a let and you replay the one serve. If the ball hits the net tape and falls outside of the service box it is a fault. You get 2 chances to get the ball into the service box.

  11. it's a fault.

  12. Does not count sweets...

  13. It depends. If it lands inside the proper service box, then it is a let and you get another first serve. If the ball hits the net and lands outside of the proper box, then it is a fault and is a second serve.
