What would I need to score on the ASVAB to join the Army?

  1. For a GED you have to have a 50. a 31 is for a High School Diploma.

  2. I have a GED, and got a 77 on the ASVAB to enlist in the Army. It's really not that difficult. You'll be able to get it. Unless you're one of those that failed the GED and had to retry. Then..... I dunno.

  3. im trying army i have a ged only a 31

  4. They will raise and lower the requirement depending on needs.  I was an Army Recruiter a few years back and there would be times you needed a 50 plus, times a 31 plus was fine and other times you wouldn't be considered at all.  There would be times we would have a few openings at the end of the month so we could make our numbers.  Sometimes your job selection would be VERY limited to usually truck driver or engineer no matter what you scored on the ASVAB.  Other times they would offer you much more based on your ASVAB scores.  All these different change could take place within a month even day to day.   Get with a Recruiter and follow his advice.  I Recruited form 2003 to 2006, things may be different now so don't rely on info you receive here.
