I have a tmobile blackberry 8800 and a tmobile account buts its stopped recognizing my chip.?

Can anybody tell me how to fix this? The phone basically cant read the chip anymore, ive taken the chip out turned it off and on again............tried everything i know. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might need to go in to a store and have your SIM card replaced. It might be corrupted.

Another trick someone taught me was to take a regular eraser and gently rub on the metal contacts of the SIM card. After wiping it off try to reinsert it again.
