like i said i have a torn meniscus, and its my senior football season and i really want to play. I can walk pretty normally and lightly jog. Do you think it would be unhealthy to get a cortosone shot? Like i mean i will be able to play but will i further damage it which will cause damage to my knee later on down the road?

somebody please just give me some feedback. thanks :)

  1. That's a very bad idea. To heal something, you need to give it proper blood supply. Cortisone does the opposite, it permanently shrinks blood vessels. All you'll do is end up killing the meniscus a lot faster, resulting in a knee replacement surgery in a few years.

Even though you want to play now, I don't recommend any impact sports or jogging which can affect your meniscus. Let it heal up then you can play in college. Your alternative is to play now and never play again in the future. Take your pick.
