I have a toshiba laptop, and in the last few weeks something weird started happening. When the laptop is plugged into the AC, the power meter in windows tells me that the power source is still batteries, and the battery level drops by about 1% every few hours, but it never turns off, meaning it is recieving power from the AC. But the LED displays show nothing lit except the power icon and HDD icon. The AC, and Full/Charging battery lights do not seem to light up at all.

Now my battery has completely died, and i decided to just run the laptop on AC power and remove the battery pack. When i shut down last night and tried to turn on this morning it gives me the low battery indicator (flashing yellow light) even though the laptop is plugged into the AC. I got a fully charged battery pack and plugged it into the laptop and still it gives me the same low battery indication and will not turn on.

This is very frustrating and I would greatly appreciate some advice on how to fix this problem ASAP.
