I have been homeschooled for the past 3 years and I love it, but I have a friend who goes to public school. I will be going into 6th grade next year so it's middle school. I'd really like for kids from 5th grade and up to answer this question. Thanks, elly ; )

  1. It depends on the online school available. Is it one where you will have a flexible schedule and lots of field trips to make and hang out with friends or not? There are some really great online schools out there. However, if you don't mind the rigidity of public schooling, you might want to try that.

Hint: if you are more independent, online school might be the way to go. If you need others to keep you on schedule or prefer to be around people a lot, maybe you should go to public school.

  2. Go public

  3. Homeschool!  No matter what anybody say's Homeschooling will be better then publik school.

  4. I would say public just because you get into real world things more.

  5. Since you have been homeschooled, I assume you are academically strong. It's generally assumed that being homeschooled means you are being taught according to your ability to learn. But in a Public school you have a larger class, high student teacher ratio and low interaction with a teacher. So, if you feel that you are responsible enough to maintain your academic standards you can opt for a public school. Public school environment will definitely give you an exposure of real world.
