depends on the area values of your house. I would bet it would increase more than the amount you put in. Being able to list it as a house with a full basement/gameroom or however you wanna label it is bound to increase it nicely.

This will not be a good investment, your home will increase in value by less than half of the amount you are going to spend, if you wish to spend this money for your own satisfaction and comfort, and you can afford to do so, go ahead, but don't expect to get the money back if you sell the property in the near future. Only time will cause the value of the property to go up if you keep it well maintained.

Yes it will by at least that much probably more though. Any time you add livable square footage to your home, you double your investment.
