We are not responsible for the outside repairs. What is the difference between townhouse insurance and condo insurance?

  2. Jasmine, Home insurance covers lots of different things. I don't understand all the fine print of my home policy, but my home insurance agent is always helpful. Try visting your agent or a homeowners agent in your town. http://www.easyhomeinsuranceguide.com They should be able to help you.

  3. On a townhouse, you ARE responsible for the outside of the house, for your unit.  ON a condo, there's a master policy, theoretically, that takes care of common areas.

  4. there should be coverage to get under a master policy for the outside of the condo/ townhome.  You should also have a renters or condo policy depending on how the master policy and your home is titled.  Good Luck.
