  1. put it up for sale. you never know who may need it. don't know how much it is worth.  but it could be worth something to somebody.

  2. Call your local bank and ask what the 'loan value' is on that particular model.  That's a pretty good indicator.

Often, with these older trailers, it really does cost more to move them, than they are worth.

If this happens to be a metal sided trailer, with a metal roof, you can always take it apart, piece by piece, for salvage.  (Most scrap metal operations will not take a mobile home intact... YOU have to take it apart)  The metal exterior can be sold as scrap metal.  Windows and doors can often be 'parted out', just as with a junk car.  The copper wiring can be salvaged.  The steel frame can either be sold as scrap metal, or turned into a flat bed 'farm' trailer - provided you have the axles and wheels.  Some states are now banning the 'doughnut' wheels that are so common under these trailer homes, they won't license them for over the road use.

As to what it is worth as it is... that really depends on what kind of shape it is in.  If the flooring has been damaged, any leaks, etc... value goes down.  If it is in really bad shape, you may have to pay someone to have it hauled off, hehehe.  Scrap metal prices vary by region somewhat.  Copper in my neck of the woods is running about $3 per pound.  Im not sure what steel is going for at the moment.  You can call your local scrap metal operation for that information.

If you want to just get rid of it, consider donating it to a local charity, for a tax receipt.

  3. Maybe a few thousand dollars

  4. be lucky to get a few thousand for it-the labor involved tearing it down against the scape price would not be worth it

  5. Unfortunately it would probably cost more to move it or tear it apart and haul it away, than it's worth for scrap.

  6. the interior is not worth much, more wood items than anything, some people like the axles, they usually have electric brakes. and the exterior is usually worth the most because of the aluminum windows and siding, this will really open your eyes. 1.25 a lb for aluminium and more than 3.30 lb for copper, this would be your wiring and maybe the plumbing.

check this web site out, and best of luck.

  7. you may get more by parting it out mine was an 1983 and i only got 1500.00 for it .mobile homes lose a lot of value quickly. step daughter has a 1979 and bank said it is worth nothing no resale value
