  1. - 1/2 the length of the base then times that by the height...use if you know the base and the height

    - base times the height, the answer is then divided by two...use if you know the base and the height

    - "1/2 ab sin C" using the diagram below (forget about the other side..use if you know an angle and the two sides on the outside of it.

    A = sqrt{s x (s-a) x (s-b) x (s-c)}  where a,b,c are the length of each side and s = (a + b + c)/2

    2. Assuming the given dimensions are in feet, find the number of acres by dividing the area A by 43,560 (the number of sq ft in an acre).

    3. Therefore, since s =959;

    A = sqrt {959 x (959-348) x (959-735) x (959-835)}

    A = sqrt {959 x 611 x 224 x 124}

    A = 127,574.76 sq ft

    Acreage = 2.929
