I have a trifold display board and i need to make it stand out how should i do it?

it is on crystals and no neon

Make sure the board itself is colorful. If you have cut outs of pictures of crystals, you can make them overlap the edges of the board so the edges aren't "straight".

Another thing you might do is maybe find how to do a paper folding of a shape that looks like a crystal and stick it on the top of your board where it sticks up. Like these:
