I have a trip planned to Vail in early march. What is the most cost effective way to get from denver to vail?

I've looked at a shuttle service, but that costs 75 each way and from what i can tell, flights from denver to eagle county cost circa 400

Colorado Mountain Express....yep about 79 bucks each way but hey, it is what it is....VAIL

bus is the cheapest. or rent a car

Hitchhike.  It is not the safest, warmest, nor quickest way.  However, it is very cost effective.  When i am in the mountains I always stop to pick up hikers with a snowboard if there is room in the car.  Now, I'm talking about the Canadian Rockies - I won't see you on the way from Denver to Vail.

3 or more people rent a Car, 2 or fewer take the bus... there are usually flat rate shuttles available.  Have a good time!

if you are staying at a hotel call the front desk and ask

i have known a few people who caught rides up from the ski carousal at DIA but that's risky

The greyhound will cost you about $20 each way Denver -> Vail
