  1. Missing huh? You could use the S-video connection. If this is an hdtv, use an hdmi connection if possible (otherwise use the red, blue green, component cables).

  2. The most common way is to find an old VCR and use its tuner. Your cable (or antenna) attaches to the VCR. You run s-video or composite wires from the VCR outputs to your TV.

Old VCRs only have tuners for analog channels. If you also wanted to tune in digital cable channels you could buy a DVD recorder that includes a "QAM" digital cable tuner. (This assumes that your cable system has non-encrypted QAM signals)

The DVD recorder would connect between your cable wire and TV the same way as a VCR would.

  3. YES THE S VIDEO WILL WORK TO CONNECT YOUR SATTELITE BUT CABLE MOTOROLA BOXES DONT I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY TV I GOT IT FIXED FOR 45 PLUS THE PIECE WICH WAS LESS THAN 5 DOLLARS HOPE THIS HELPS
