  1. My kitten was brought to me when he was only 3 weeks old and we really bonded, I spent ever hour of every day for several weeks at home and if I left the house so didn't he.  He shortly there after started sucking on my thumb like a binky.  We has learned that when I say it's ok he can have the thumb.  I think it's cute now that we have our boundries.

  2. This is normal play behavior in kittens; if he doesn't have his mom or litter mates to play with, he'll go for the next best thing.  The best thing to do is distract his attention to a toy which it's OK to nibble on.  It's cute when they nibble on your hands at 10 weeks, not so much when they're full grown.

  3. He's just trying to have fun... You asked him to stop? He's a kitten. They don't understand English.

  4. i don't know that but if he dosen't stop rub hot sauce on ur hands and they usually don't like the hot sauce but some weirdo cats like it...

  5. buy him a toy that will substitute your hand. and whenever he goes for your hands give him the toy instead

  6. Hes still really small, so while his teeth grow in, buy him a toy that he can chew and bite on. later, if he still does this, then take him to a vet.

  7. its normal mine did it too

  8. his teeth hurt and also you need to scold him because if you don't he will do it when he's older because he will think it's ok. TRUST ME lol. And if hes wild you might need to tame him by making him calm down like holding him because some kittens tend to always be wild unless you tame them when there younger also. When wilder cats grow up they tackle other cats and bite on there feet thinking there playing when if you have a diffrent tame cat gets mad and pissed off.

  9. He is simply playing, but if you were another kitten, he would get immediate feedback.  You need to have him stop, but you do it by training him, not punishing him as he doesn't know he is doing anything that could hurt you.  Withdraw your hand, shake you finger at him and say, in a firm voice, NO!  It gives him negative reinforcement, but no punishment.  The second stage, if that doesn't work, is a very, very gentle bop on the nose and saying NO!  Another approach is to very gently hold his jaws together when he does it and say NO!

You want to get his immediate attention, but you don't want to punish him.  You want to train him.

  10. He also might be wanting your attention or for you to play with him...:)

If you really want him to stop, get a spray bottle and squirt him when you ask him to stop and he doesn't. This usually works, and I encourage it, because it might become habit to him

  11. kittens learn to play rough with each other. it takes time to learn not to be rough with humans. sternly say no, give him a chew toy, praise.

  12. he might just want something to chew on

You should buy him a chew toy. i hope it works and if it doesn't i think you should take him to a vet.

    Hope this helps!

  13. Do not let this behavior continue, stop it now. A whack with a few sheets of rolled up newspaper will not hurt him, but the noise will discourage biting. If you let this go on, when he is grown he may continue to be a biter and you won`t be able to pet or play with him. Cats have very sharp teeth and biting can be quite painful. Buy him a safe toy to play and bite on. A piece of tightly twisted foil tied to a string and hung on a door nob or back of a chair entertains a kitten for hrs. Do not play roughly or permit biting, that only teaches bad habits.

  14. If you really don't like it, hot sauce, hot pepper, or anything that tastes nasty or spicy is probably a good idea.  But i will point out that some quirky kitties bite as a sign of affection--a good way to tell is if he is not clamping down his jaws.
