  1. as others have said, region coding is used to stop you importing DVDs cheaper than you can buy them locally. I think if you put into a search engine something like region unlock and your model number, you may be able to find a way around it. Failing that, the $48 AWA I bought from Big W hasn't let me down yet.

  2. hi

you need to check to see if your dvd player is a multi-region dvd player. if it isnt, then it wont play dvds from other countries. hope this helps x*x

  3. The electronic equipment has a code that is set for different regions of the world.  My boyfriend changed his to play DVD's that i sent from another country.  However, i have also heard, that you can only change the code so many numbers of times, and it will stop working (or something like that).

The code is inside the machine i think that is what he said (he works in a computer factory).

  4. Basically to counter privacy and early release of movies in different regions, DVD companies have added Region settings to allow certain DVDs to be played in certain Region setting DVD plyers.
