I have a used computer and the previous owner had a lot of bad stuff on it and I need to know how to erase?

All his stuff and keep what I have. I am talking about the hidden stuff that comes up in searches I do in the computer .

format the hard drive and re-install windows.

if you don't know how to do this yourself, get someone who does.

doing this will erase ALL data, so you will need to back up anything you dont want to lose.

If you bought this computer off of someone else I would recommend formatting the hard drive and starting from scratch.  You will need the Windows CD however.

delete it from your search screen, this helps in deleting it from your hard drive.
