I have a valid schegen visa, i want to visit the switzerland, so is there any need for the visit visa, if any one know about this thing please rep. thanks

  1. Switzerland is not part of Schengen YET.

    So, you may need a visa, depending on your nationality.


  2. No Visa is required foreign nationals holding:

    (A) a valid residence permit recognised by the Federal Office of Migration (see list) or an EU or an EFTA country.  

    (B) a valid US green card  

    (C) a valid residence permit of Canada, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the stay does not exceed 3 months and the purpose of travel is: Tourism, Visit or Business

    As already mentioned Switzerland is not part of the Schengen States ( they will be joining on the 01/11/2008). Therefore you will need to apply for a seperate visa if you are living outside of the EU or US.

  3. depends which country u r from, but in general switzerland will be in schengen visa only from november on
