This is something thats been happening practically all of my life.

Whenever I put my contacts in, I often feel an itchiness. Almost like theres tiny particles of dust trapped between my eye and the lens, but its not so acute that I can't have the contact in.

I've found that the itchiness is lessened if, instead of only emptying the solution from my case before I put my contacts back in at night, I empty in the morning and let the case dry all day.

Another weird thing; it seems a lot worse when I put in my contacts after not getting a lot of sleep.

I'm just curious as to whats actually going on here? I wear O2 optix, and it still occurs (granted, less than with whatever I was wearing before)

  1. You sound to me like you just have really sensitive eyes. Have you brought it up to your eye doctor? I wonder if you might have allergies in your eyes as well. Your eye doctor would know this as well by looking at your eyes. I wonder if you need to change your cleaning regimen or if you need to have a different kind of cleaner or protein remover? These are good questions for your doctor to answer as they would have your eyes and your contacts in front of them. I wouldn't know unless I saw what was going on.
