I got my lovebird when she was still being hand fed, and i have had her for about 3 or 4 years now. She always lays eggs and is really loud! She non stop chirps all day long. Someone please help me make her be quiet! If not i will have to give her away.

  1. You shouldn't give up on her. I think when she is to lound you should put her in another room, or at night cover her cage.

  2. Hi there!

I implore you, please don't seek out a lazy man's way by throwing your lovebird away or abandoning it to a shelter or such.

However, there is a video on youtube that might be very helpful to you.

And it has all the info you'll need to help get your lovie quieted down and a bit more... um... less screechy.

I'm pretty sure this will work on your lovie, as I am also planning to use this to quiet down my Masked Lovebird that I'll be getting very soon.

    I hope that helped!

  3. Try putting her into another room with a window and shutting the door behind you. Only handle her when you desire to and make sure she has food and water all the time. This usually helps takes the stress off of owners who can not tolerate the noise. Or find her a good home where those people have problems with hearing a happy bird talking all the time.

  4. Your Goose, err Bird, is cooked. There are few things you can do when a bird gets old... and you would scream too if you laid eggs all the time... lol.

  5. Try removing the environment that makes her want to lay eggs. Most birds that do not have a closed box for a nesting area do not lay eggs.

Put a towel over the cage and she will nod off thinking it is night.

  6. take her eggs away from her it will stop her from yelling so loud

  7. I had lovebirds in the past and they are loud birds. My only solution to you is to get rid of them. I got cockatiels and they are more pleasent and quiet.

  8. Hello.

You should get her a male ( a companionship ) so she would bond with him and she does her own things ( like mating ) then she would not be loud . Having a male ...it would set her body clock back to the schedule and she would not have eggs all the time ...whether you want her to have babies or not . Please look in www.hoobly.com to find a breeder near you if you want to buy a male one , or you can talk to a breeder if you want to trade her . Good luck . TM.

  9. Well if theres a way you can train the bird then theres your answer but i dont think your going to be able to make a bird stop being load tho so you might have to give it up.
