I have a very old grape stalk on property, but they shrivel and become useless, disease?

I have bought this new property and has a very old white grape stalk. I prune it back and it has beautiful bunches of grapes. The grapes drop off or shrivel and fall off, I heard it might has disease or I need to spray, I am not sure what to spray and when is the proper spray times HELP

  1. some times the thing just wont grow right it hapins with old plants before they die. the only thing i can say to do is hope it grows right or look it up on Google.

You have a couple of less expensive options than Nova fungicide.  I'd try using garden sulfur (used by many wine growers in California) or a copper based liquid fungicide.  Both are considered natural fungicides.  Other poster is also correct that good housekeeping in the area of your grapevine is important.  Sanitation removes overwinering spores of diseases so that they can't reinfect your plant the next year.

  3. Sounds like black rot which is a disease.  There is a product called Nova which if sprayed once every two weeks will kill it.  The big problem is any leaf or grape that falls on ground will start the process all over so you must ensure the ground area around vine is kept clean.
