I'm trying to figure out if there is some way to add on to the shower bottom so I could use it as a kinda of soaking tub but I dont know how to go about it or where to find info on how if its possible. Its a five sided shower but it only has walls on two sides the rest is open except a shower curtain

  1. U didn't mention the size of ur bathroom.  If u have at least 5' in length...u can set a bathtub in.  As for the drain set up...If u can get acess to move the drain unit..Yes u can.  U might need to re-locate ur toilet or ur vanity.  So before u can do anything...get the configuration right and u get move forward.

  2. The waterproof "pan"  under the tile in a traditional shower is only about 6 inches deep. The sides are only water resistant, and will not hold standing water. In a fiberglass shower you would have a problem sealing the threshold.  It would be difficult at best to convert the existing shower. There are some types of shower units that can replace yours. They are called hip tubs or mini tubs. One type can be found at the following link, though there are deeper models.

As has already been mentioned, a camper type tub and shower would  be another way to go.

  3. Try an RV supply place.  I have an incredibly small bathroom in a 23' travel trailer, yet it accomodates a (small) tub.
