I have a virus but when i go to find it there is nothing there PLEASE HELP ?

the virus are a worm and a trojan i have a windows and i have mcafee for it i dont know how to kill it mcafee cant find it i ned real help please help

There are a couple of good Free online scans to verify the presence of an intrusion. Trend micro Housecall and Kaspersky. Housecall will also remove malware while Kaspersky offers a Free 30day FULL VERSION trial.

how do u know u have a virus if it doesnt show up on mcafee??

Mcafee is pretty good. Id say it is something else. Try system restore to see if you can restore your computer to a former working date when it was running well. Here are instructions for doing that: Click START/ALL PROGRAMS/ASSESSORIES/SYSTEM TOOLS/SYSTEM RESTORE.  Then select a restore point date from a time when your computer was working well. Follow its instructions as given when you get to the restore window. If successful, it will return your computer back in time, to a date when it was working properly. Good luck.

You should scan your computer in Safe Mode

restart your computer and just before Windows starts press the F8 key and choose Safe mode
