  1. Use command prompt to get rid of it only if you know any commands.

  2. next time u get a laptop get a mac cause they cannot get a virus. its guaranteed that you cant get one. plus you get a warranty guaranteeing you that you cant get a virus.

  3. i would suggest getting the norton anti virus software even though you have a virus protection. or maybe call the dell people maybe they could help

  4. I used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. It got rid of one pop-up virus I had.

  5. i got norton anti-virus system and blocks viruses form getting into the comp. and even when a virus does come into my computer norton does a scan every week for a virus and if it finds a virus it deletes it automatically. so i suggest norton anti virus... if you get it you don't even have to worry about viruses

  6. Go to AVG Setup  Press this (Tools) then press  Advanced Avg Settings then press Scans press Scan whole computer click tick All

press Shell Extension scan put All tick then press scan specific files or Folders put all tick, then press Schedules you setting here what are you want then press Virus database  put All tick then press Program update Schedule put All tick then press Email Scanner put All Tick  Check incoming Mail ,Certify e-Mail,With attachments only and Modify subject of virus infected messages. Then Press Resident shield Put all Tick, then Press Update Put dot the place write this (Restart immediately) then Apply Then Press (ok) then Return in the Tools again open press Scan Computer then leave Avg will work good if it work well please let me know thanks

  7. Download Avast! Anti-Virus and uninstall AVG. Once you have done this and have Avast installed and ready to go, On the menu, click the little drop-down button in the upper left-hand corner and select the option "Schedule boot scan" set the options you want and click "OK". If a little window pops up and it asks you to restart your OS (Operating System), click yes. Then once it restarts, Avast! will scan your laptop before finishing the boot-up process. This way, your OS (I am assuming you are running Windows) can't hinder Avast's scanning operation.

Hope this helps! God-speed with your virus removal!

  11. Check out your virus vault. If its in there your laptop will be fine but I'd run a scan if I were you.

  12. Your only option is to install CLAMWIN.

ClamWin is a Free Antivirus for Microsoft Windows

that uses the GNU General Public License by the Free Software

Foundation and is free (as in freedom) software.

There is a portable version of ClamWin where it can be install into an USB pendrive as small as 64 MB.

First use another PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus

and install Clamwin portable on a USB thumb drive.

    http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/c...

Update the latest anti-virus definition files.

Set the preferences to delete or move virus to a quarantine folder.

    How to configure ClamWin

    http://support.real-time.com/open-source...

When the USB pendrive is ready.

Boot up the infected PC in safe mode.

If possible, disable system restore on the infected PC.

Run the Clamwin Anti-virus that is installed on the USB drive to scan the infected PC.

Scan all hard drives for viruses.

  15. Download the free version of Superantispyware.  I use this program and will resolve your problem as this software finds nasty viruses and spyware and best of all does not conflict with your own antivirus.  http://www.superantispyware.com  Update and run and in depth scan.  Free you must update daily on a manual basis or purchase and get auto. updates.

  16. Is it the antivirus 2009,I had it their just fake threats.

  17. Free Anti spyware.

  18. John, your question is a little confusing but I'll give you my opinion.

I think your brother clicked on the ad and that downloaded some adware/malware to your computer, not a virus.  Get Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition & Spybot Search & Destroy.  Both are free.

PS.  Keep your anti-virus up to date and use it.
