Today i woke up and a my PC protection warned me of a virus

soon after it said my Task Manger (Ctrl Alt Delete) was disabled by the adminstrator. My computer went very slow and started freezing then i did a system restore and the only avaliable date was 1 minuite ago and my dates i had created where deleted by the trojran, then i switched my computer off, turned it back on and it said the sytem was going to shut down in 60secs and it did. I used NOD32 to delete the viruses in a scan, 1 st question are they really deleted? I think they are deleted but there is damage to my system! Images have like been put into wierd things and all look same. I need to get my task manager back and get my computer and system restore back. Automatic updates was turned off and it wont let me turn it back on. Can someone tell me how to do this, i am 14 and worried that my mom would kill me even though i havent done anything wrong! thanks

  1. first thing to do is scan it in safe mode.....as the machine starts up keep hitting F8,sellect safe mode...dont worry everything will look big as safemode only uses basic drivers...scan again with nod32,with any luck this will sort oit..if not you need to know the exsact name of the virus/ftodgen...and search on line[on another pc] for a removal tool, and run it on your pc....hope this helps.

  2. BitDefender.com.  Download it for free, clean your computer up.  It worked great for me.  You can use it for 30 days before you have to buy it.
