I fortunately saved it. BUT my phone does not charge the battery, which really sucks. Luckily my mom has the same phone as me, so when she's not around I can just charge my battery with her phone. But I don't want to keep this up, it's a pain! Does anyone know what's wrong? I don't have the money to replace it.

  1. Depending on how long ago you dropped it in the water....take the battery out of the phone and lay both on a towel and blow dry it for about 10 to 15 minutes or until you are sure it's dry.... the problem may be the port inside the phone is still wet so you want to make sure all the water is out of the little cracks you can't see.

  2. Phones are pretty cheap these days.  Why not just buy a new one?  Here are a few that would do:

Or did you want a cordless phone?

Or do you know which forum this is?

  3. What is wrong is that it is water damaged. You'll have to deal with it until you can get a new one. You can find cheap phones on ebay.

  4. most water damage to phones is done by minerals not actually by the water. to get this junk out of your phone believe it or not is to submerge it in distilled water... distilled water does not conduct electricity so no panic. after dry it off and let it sit overnight in a bowl of uncooked rice.. the rice vacuums out the vast majority of water in the electronic.. try it it worked for me once.
