  1. follow the instructions exactly.

mine you have to keep it on one setting, prime, hold trigger pull a few times, then switch to second to start..let run for a few mintues then switch to 3rd position to use.

i've had issues like that. try the connection to the spark plug. see if its connected good. put in a new spark plug. change air filter. make sure you are priming enough.

um..keep the trigger pulled when you switch to 2nd for longer. to make sure that gas gets in there good

  2. Another thing you could try is removing the muffler & cleaning out any carbon build up in the motor outlet port & the muffler.I had a similar problem & and it ran fine after I did this service. It doesn't take much carbon build up to cause a problem on a two stroke, mine had what I thought very little build up & I didn't think it would do any good, but it started right up & runs fine.

  3. I had a weed wacker that did the same thing and it was the fuel lines to the fuel tank. The fuel tank is pressurized by the engine and if the tank doesn't stay pressurized the engine won't run. Could also be the fuel cap. But most likely the fuel lines, after a few years they rot. So I wacked mine against a tree and went and bought a new one.

  4. Sounds like it could be a water problem, dump out all the fuel, start with fresh fuel.

One thing you can do is get a clean, clear, glass jar, put your fuel in there before you pour it into your weedeater.

Plus I would advice cleaning and regapping the spark plug.
