  1. YES you bet they are.* They were made by Mossberg for Western Field, actually they are a Mossberg with the Western Field name on the Shotgun. I have one also, but mine is a 20 gauge.* It has a very smooth action, quality made, rugged and dependable.*  Check here to see what they are selling for, or the Value of it.* I wouldn't trade or sell mine.* Great Shotgun.*>> gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com, gunsamerica.com...<<<

  2. vangion is on the money....again

  3. Westernfield was a trade name used by Montgomery Ward on the guns they sold

They were made by Mosssberg, Sevens, Noble and Winchester

Value is about $150 in good or better condition

  4. It sounds like we have the same shotgun.

    I have a WesternField 12ga

On the left side of the barrel it says

    Chambered for 2 3/4 and 3in shells

    12ga - 26in - C-Lect-Choke - Made in USA

I purchased this shotgun from Montgomery Wards in the late 60's

It's a very handy, light-weight shotgun, that for some reason does not kick like a mule.

Mine is probably worth about $125 - but, I would not sell it.
