I have a whirlpool fridge Mod no. WRX38RWH6, it keeps freezing things even with Temp. turned down? any ideas??

If the box does not freeze everything in the fresh food compartment the thermostat is OK. All refrigerators bring the air in from the freezer to cool the fresh food compartment. If you get food in the cold area you will find ice time to time. This is where you keep your milk and juices so the are real cold. The control k***s should be left in the middle one of the control k***s in to let air out of the freezer, if set wrong it will bring a lot of cold air from the freezer into the fresh food compartment. How you load the items inside the box can play a big role on how the box works try not put big boxes or block air flow inside the box. You can sometimes put too much inside the ff compartment.

if i don't have much in the fridge i find stuff especially at the back freezes ...

put more food in it ... sorry thats all i know from experience

That doesn't look like any whirlpool model number I have ever seen. Did you find the model and serial number label in it?

What country are you in. They use different model numbers in different countries.

Is this a top freezer? If so you can't put food right under where the air comes in from the freezer, in the back center usually.

Where is it freezing things? Everywhere or just at the bottom? It may something different if it is a side by side.

Generally either you have a bad control or bad damper.
