I have a whirpool refrigarator

I have a whirpool refrigarator with the typical ice maker. The ice make doesn't work, it sounds like it's filing up with water but it doesn't produce ice. This the 2nd time I've had this problem. The 1st time I replaced the ice make. Is there a bigger problem or should I just replace the ice make again?
